Delete your My Food Rating account
We're sorry to see you go. You can request account deletion from within the app — here's what to expect.
How to delete your account
- Open the My Food Rating app
- Go to Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm with your email address
- Your account and all personal data will be permanently deleted
What's deleted
- Your account (name, email, profile)
- All your ratings, journal entries, visit photos, dish ratings
- All menu photos you uploaded (the OCR source images)
- Restaurants you manually added that aren't linked to a verified listing
- Menu items you manually entered
- Authentication tokens and OAuth grants (Sign in with Apple / Google are also revoked at the provider)
What's retained
Some community content you contributed is retained to preserve the integrity of the shared database, but your authorship attribution is removed.
- Restaurants you added that are linked to a verified listing (the community keeps them; your authorship attribution is removed)
- Menu items extracted by OCR from your menu photos (the items themselves are the restaurant's real menu; your authorship attribution is removed)
- Menu items sourced from verified providers (community content; your authorship attribution is removed)
- Ratings or contributions from other users on restaurants that remain after your deletion
Timeframe
Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Can't access the app?
If you're unable to access the app to delete your account, get in touch via our contact form and we'll process the request manually within 30 days.
